I started teaching Fifth Grade at St. James in 1984. I "retired" in 1997 to be a stay -at- home mom. My daughter Olivia will be a Sophmore in college this year- Wow, time really does fly. I can still remember taking her to the Kensington Library for story time.
My second daughter, Lily came along in 2003. So, my retirement lasted a little longer. Retirement and stay-at- home mom really do not belong in the same sentence ! Lil is now in 9th grade!
When Lily was in preschool, I came back to St. James as a classroom aide, in grades 7 and 8 and then grades 5 and 6. The Fifth Grade teacher ( The Awesome Mr. Keeley) retired and I moved back to my old spot in Fifth Grade. The Great, Mrs. Beswick, retired and I have now moved up to 7th and 8th Grade Language Arts and Social Studies.
I am looking forward to a great 2017-2018 school year!
